Our adventure begins in one of the peaceful alpine valleys of the Jungfrau region, just above Interlaken, where quiet mountain life still shapes the landscape. We follow scenic trails leading into the alpine valley of Habkern, a hidden corner known for its traditional farms, open pastures, and wooden chalets set against sweeping mountain views.

Habkern itself is a charming mountain village located at around 1,050 meters above sea level. With roots dating back to medieval settlements, it has preserved a strong sense of rural Swiss heritage—from centuries-old wooden houses to the untouched alpine meadows surrounding the village. We warm up with a scenic 5 km E-bike ride through this tranquil area, enjoying panoramic views toward Lake Thun and the Jungfrau massif. The journey continues with a gentle 5 km climb, followed by a short 15-minute alpine walk down to a family-run cheese farm at 1,470 meters. You’ll step inside a working alpine dairy, where the cheese is made each morning, and enjoy a fresh Swiss cheese tasting straight from the mountains. What to Expect in Habkern

13:00 – 14:00
Pick-up at selected locations in and around Interlaken. Transfer by van to Habkern, then bike set-up, helmet fitting, introduction, and a short e-bike training session.

14:00 – 14:45
Scenic 5 km e-bike ride through the hidden farmers valley of Habkern, with panoramic views reaching to Lake Thun. Enjoy a fun descent into the village of Habkern, passing traditional wooden chalets.

14:45 – 15:30
5 km climb followed by a 15-minute alpine walk to the family-run cheese farm at 1,470 m.

15:30 – 16:30
Visit the alpine cheese farm: learn about local cheese-making, enjoy a tasting of authentic Swiss mountain cheese, and relax with a drink while admiring views of Habkern and the Hardergrat ridge.

16:30 – 17:00
Playful downhill ride back through the valley, with an optional stop at the Alphorn workshop (if open).

Wrap-up and farewell in Habkern.

On an e-MTB with a high-quality battery and average physical condition, you can expect to cover an elevation gain of 1000 meters over approximately 10 km in about 50 to 70 minutes.

• Our e-bikes are suitable for most weather conditions, but in the event of extreme weather it may be necessary to reschedule or cancel the trip.
• Please check that you have provided us with up-to-date contact information so that we can inform you of any changes in a timely manner. If we do not contact you, it means that we are still planning to run the trip as originally scheduled, or that we are still waiting for weather forecast clarification.
• In the event that the trip cannot take place due to bad weather, we will be happy to offer you an alternative date, a different outdoor activity, or our special Rainy Day Cultural Adventure to Gruyères. If none of the options suit you, we’ll provide a full refund.
