From Interlaken to Rosenlaui: A Scenic Alpine E-bike Journey

Go on an unforgettable outdoor adventure through one of the most breathtaking valleys in the Swiss Alps, the Rosenlaui Valley.

Just 35 km from Interlaken, deep in the heart of the Jungfrau Region, lies the untouched and awe-inspiring Rosenlaui Valley. This e-bike tour from Interlaken takes you through dramatic alpine landscapes, past waterfalls, glaciers and historic landmarks, offering some of the most incredible views in the region.

Our adventure begins at the famous Reichenbach Falls (969 m), known for their thundering cascades and connection to Sherlock Holmes. From here, we follow a scenic route towards Grosse Scheidegg, riding through lush meadows, forest trails and along sparkling mountain streams. Towering above us stands the impressive Wellhorn (3191 m), adding to the majesty of the Swiss Alps.

After a smooth ride, we arrive at the historic Hotel Rosenlaui (1330 m), a beautifully preserved alpine lodge dating back to 1862. The surroundings here offer a perfect opportunity to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the valley.

Just above the hotel, we explore the spectacular Rosenlaui Glacier Gorge (Gletscherschlucht Rosenlaui), a natural wonder carved by powerful glacial waters. A secure path leads us past roaring waterfalls, narrow passages, mysterious caves and dramatic rock formations shaped over thousands of years, a highlight of the tour.

Back on the e-bikes, we continue to the traditional Säge Schwarzwaldalp (1449 m), a beautifully restored alpine sawmill that showcases authentic Swiss craftsmanship and heritage.

From there, the route climbs gently towards Brochhütte, a cozy mountain hut with stunning panoramic views of the surrounding peaks. Here, we enjoy a local cheese tasting and relax in the heart of the Alps before continuing the ride towards Grosse Scheidegg.

At Grosse Scheidegg, we take a well-earned break and enjoy the sweeping views over Grindelwald and the towering peaks of Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau. You can enjoy a meal at a cozy mountain restaurant or find a quiet spot to relax with your packed lunch while taking in the stunning alpine scenery. Whether you choose to rest, meditate or simply breathe in the crisp mountain air, this is a moment to truly disconnect and appreciate the wild beauty of the Swiss Alps.

After the break, we begin our descent through the Rosenlaui Valley, revealing new perspectives and hidden details we may have missed on the way up. Along the route, the landscape continues to surprise us with waterfalls, peaceful forests and untouched nature.

If time allows, we can include a visit to the dramatic Reichenbach Falls at the end of the tour, giving you the chance to see these legendary waters up close.

Throughout the entire journey, you will be surrounded by the raw beauty of the Jungfrau Region, capturing unforgettable moments and experiencing the magic of high-alpine landscapes from start to finish.

Enjoy the views and discover much more from the comfort of an E bike!

On an e-MTB with a high-quality battery and average physical condition, you can expect to cover an elevation gain of 1000 meters over approximately 10 km in about 50 to 70 minutes.

Why walk all day when you can ride? With an e-bike, your adventure goes further, and you won’t be too tired to enjoy the evening too!

• Our e-bikes are suitable for most weather conditions, but in the event of extreme weather it may be necessary to reschedule or cancel the trip.
• Please check that you have provided us with up-to-date contact information so that we can inform you of any changes in a timely manner. If we do not contact you, it means that we are still planning to run the trip as originally scheduled, or that we are still waiting for weather forecast clarification.
• In the event that the trip cannot take place due to bad weather, we will be happy to offer you an alternative date, a different outdoor activity, or our special Rainy Day Cultural Adventure to Gruyères. If none of the options suit you, we’ll provide a full refund.
