Our Interlaken E-bike Tour begins in the charming village of Wilderswil, at the foot of the Jungfrau region. After setting up the bikes, we ride through quiet lanes and reach our first stop – the Unspunnen Castle Ruin from the early 13th century, later made famous as the symbolic home of the Unspunnen Festival.

A short climb leads us to the Heimwehfluh viewpoint, where a stone tower and terrace offer breathtaking panoramas over Interlaken, the Aare River, and Lake Thun. We then descend towards Interlaken West, following the river to the atmospheric Weissenau Castle, a 13th-century ruin now surrounded by reeds and birdlife.

The Interlaken E-bike Tour continues along peaceful lanes by the golf course to the shores of Lake Thun, before forest paths and farmland trails bring us to Unterseen – a historic town with cobblestone alleys and traditional houses. Crossing the Aare River, we pass the casino park and fountain on our way to Interlaken Ost. From here, the route follows the sparkling Lake Brienz shoreline into Bönigen, where the turquoise lake shows its most stunning views.

On the way back, we ride through quiet lanes past churches and farmhouses before returning to Wilderswil. The final highlight is crossing the rare wooden hydraulic bridge over the Lütschine River, finishing with views of historic chalets and the nostalgic Schynige Platte railway station.

Pick-up at selected locations, transfer to Wilderswil, bike set-up, helmets, and short safety briefing.

13:45 – 14:15
Ride to Unspunnen Castle Ruin. Explore the 13th-century fortress and hear about the Unspunnen Festival.

14:15 – 14:45
Scenic climb to the Heimwehfluh viewpoint. Breathtaking views over Interlaken, the Aare River, and Lake Thun.

Descend towards Weissenau Castle on Lake Thun. Atmospheric ruins surrounded by reeds and birdlife.

Continue to the shores of Lake Thun. Relax and enjoy the peaceful lakeside atmosphere.

Ride along the Lombach River through farmland into Unterseen. Short ride in the old town with cobblestone alleys.

Cross the Aare River and ride past the Casino Park & fountain on the way through Interlaken town.

Follow the river to Lake Brienz and into Bönigen. Stunning turquoise lake views.

Return ride through quiet lanes, churches, farmhouses and meadows back to Wilderswil. Cross the historic wooden hydraulic bridge before gliding past traditional chalets and the Schynige Platte railway station.

On an e-MTB with a high-quality battery and average physical condition, you can expect to cover an elevation gain of 1000 meters over approximately 10 km in about 50 to 70 minutes.

These bike tours are available approximately from May to the end of November. In winter, tours may also be possible if road conditions and weather allow. For exact availability, please contact us via email or through the contact form.

Weather and condition

• Our e-bikes are suitable for most weather conditions, but in the event of extreme weather it may be necessary to reschedule or cancel the trip.
• Please check that you have provided us with up-to-date contact information so that we can inform you of any changes in a timely manner. If we do not contact you, it means that we are still planning to run the trip as originally scheduled, or that we are still waiting for weather forecast clarification.
• If the tour cannot take place due to unsafe weather, we will offer an alternative date or send you a list of alternative activities and options for the day, so you don’t miss out on your time in Switzerland. We’re confident we’ll find a great plan together — so you can still enjoy an unforgettable day in Switzerland, just from a different perspective.
