Our adventure begins beneath the monumental cliffs of Lauterbrunnen Valley at the Stechelberg Schilthorn gondola station, surrounded by waterfalls cascading from dramatic alpine walls. After setting up the bikes, we follow peaceful meadow trails towards the quiet village of Stechelberg, gradually leaving the busy tourist routes behind.

The climb into the hidden alpine valley of Trachsellaunen v is where the real magic begins. Following the glacial waters of the Weisse Lütschine River, we ride beneath legendary 4000-meter Swiss peaks, surrounded by wild waterfalls, flower-filled meadows and untouched mountain scenery few visitors ever experience. In our opinion, this peaceful upper valley is one of the most beautiful and authentic corners of the famous Valley of 72 Waterfalls.

At the remote Berggasthof Trachsellauenen mountain restaurant, we slow down and enjoy the incredible alpine atmosphere while tasting authentic Swiss cheeses surrounded by waterfalls, green alpine pastures and traditional mountain life deep in the Alps. Far from the crowds, this is the Switzerland most travelers dream about but rarely truly discover.

Hidden deeper in the valley are also traces of the old Bergwerkruine Trachsellauenen mining area, reminding visitors of the small silver mining operations that once existed in this remote alpine landscape.

After soaking in the views, we descend back through the valley towards the world-famous Trümmelbach Falls — a series of powerful glacier waterfalls hidden inside the mountain itself. Fed by meltwater from the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau, the falls carry up to 20,000 liters of water per second through narrow rock tunnels and chambers carved over thousands of years. Walking through the mountain beside the roaring water is one of the most unique natural experiences in Switzerland.

The journey then continues towards Lauterbrunnen village beneath iconic alpine cliffs and countless waterfalls, with breathtaking panoramic views opening across the valley. We also stop near the famous Staubbach Falls, plunging an impressive 297 meters from the vertical cliffs above the village — one of the highest free-falling waterfalls in Europe and one of the true symbols of Lauterbrunnen Valley.

The final part of the ride takes us peacefully back towards Stechelberg along quiet farm roads past traditional wooden chalets, grazing cows, alpine rivers and endless waterfall views. Surrounded by dramatic scenery and countless photo opportunities, this experience is far more than just an E-bike ride — it’s an unforgettable journey into the hidden heart of the Swiss Alps.

What to Expect on the Lauterbrunnen E-bike Tour

10:00 – Pick-up in Interlaken
Pick-up from selected locations in Interlaken & Lauterbrunnen followed by a scenic drive through the Jungfrau region towards Stechelberg, the starting point of our adventure.

10:30 – 12:00
Arrival in Stechelberg, bike set-up, safety briefing & scenic ride into the hidden valley of Trachsellaunen.
Following peaceful meadow trails and the glacial Weisse Lütschine River, we gradually leave the tourist crowds behind and enter one of the most beautiful hidden corners of Lauterbrunnen Valley.

12:00 – 13:00
Relaxing stop at Berggasthof Trachsellauenen with authentic Swiss cheese tasting surrounded by waterfalls, alpine meadows and towering mountain scenery.
Optional short walk to the nearby Bergwerkruine Trachsellauenen, where traces of old silver mining still remain hidden deep in the valley.

13:00 – 13:30
Scenic descent back through the valley towards the world-famous Trümmelbach Falls.

13:30 – 14:30
Visit of Trümmelbach Falls — powerful glacier waterfalls hidden inside the mountain and fed by meltwater from the Eiger, Mönch & Jungfrau peaks.

14:30 – 15:30
Ride towards Lauterbrunnen village with panoramic valley views and stop near the iconic Staubbach Falls, plunging 297 meters from the cliffs above the valley.

15:30 – 16:00
Peaceful ride back towards Stechelberg through quiet farm roads, traditional Swiss chalets, waterfalls and endless alpine scenery.

Return transfer towards Interlaken.

On an e-MTB with a high-quality battery and average physical condition, you can expect to cover an elevation gain of 1000 meters over approximately 10 km in about 50 to 70 minutes.

• Our e-bikes are suitable for most weather conditions, but in the event of extreme weather it may be necessary to reschedule or cancel the trip.
• Please check that you have provided us with up-to-date contact information so that we can inform you of any changes in a timely manner. If we do not contact you, it means that we are still planning to run the trip as originally scheduled, or that we are still waiting for weather forecast clarification.
• If the tour cannot take place due to unsafe weather, we will offer an alternative date or send you a list of alternative activities and options for the day, so you don’t miss out on your time in Switzerland. We’re confident we’ll find a great plan together — so you can still enjoy an unforgettable day in Switzerland, just from a different perspective.
